After researching various poster styles that have been used for successful posters aimed at my target audience, I have come up with four different approaches.
Idea01
The inspiration for this idea came from a theatre sign that you would see in London or America. The title of the campaign would be in the sign and the lights would be lit up to draw attention. This would work well as the header for the website as you could get the lights to animate so they are flashing.
Idea02
The second idea would follow the same style as a film poster but it would be advertising the film festival instead of the film. People who are interested in the festival would recognise the link between the posters and find it appealing.
Idea03
This final idea is based on iconic fonts that have been used in films such as Superman and Godfather. The poster for this would be typography based and the words would make up an object used for films. This would work well as a set off three posters.
Idea04
I really like the 3d effect that has been used in the title for this poster. It adds perspective and dimension to the poster. I also really like the copy and paste effect that has been used for the image on the poster. It would appeal more to the audience than using flat vectors.
Idea05
This idea uses objects that are related to the film festival that are made up using vectors. This would give an bold, eye catching and fun poster. The only problem I can see with this poster is it would look flat and maybe to child like. The brief says that the Co-op want to try and stay away from illustrations so this may to be similar to the existing style for the Co-op Film Festival.
